Christa McAuliffe Planetarium - Book Signing and Presentation

Frank Mooney was my honored guest - although he could not stay for the speech I would be giving.

Check me out on the ceiling! (helllo Concord Planatarium power point presentation screen)

Here is me - speaking to the group - there were many more people seated in the back and on the left side of the seating area. I would guess the total group was abut 45 people.

This evening was great fun - and I believe I was well received by the Astronomer audience. Thank you New Hampshire Astronomical Society!

Book Signing! Christa McAuliffe Planetarium

Success!

Slight inturruption in the book signing coverage, Hannah called and I talked to her until late... and then I was just too tired to write here. So Good Morning! And I still can't write about the speach I gave since I am now off to Frank Mooney's house to deliver some books before he heads to the Phesant Lane Mall to walk, talk, and sell some of these books! :) Oh it's all moving so fast.

Book Signing! Sneak Preview

I have prepared a presentation which will cover information throughout the last page of my book - If I had more time I'd elaborate more - but for now it's time to get ready to go! I will post a full report of all-the-happenings ;-) I'm looking forward to a great evening!

Rally for Preservation

Tonight I met with Alan Manoian to discuss - well - Nashua! We covered a lot of ground but the most encouraging and discouraging news we spoke of had to do with the state of our city. I could not be more frustrated with the news at hand - People in the government of this city have begun a tragic role placing two (that I know of of hand) historically valuable sites at the mercy of the private sector: The Chandler Library and the Court Street Firehouse! Both these locations need us if they are to survive.

Hopefully my book "Then & Now Nashua" will awaken some eyes and propel a new and better destiny for these treasured buildings and more like them.

Nope - Still Not in Stores

I visited Barnes and Noble and Borders tonight in search of my book; (btw - Alan had to cancel, his Monday afternoon appointment ran late) ...No Such Luck! It was in neither place. I however did pick up a great package of info about the Moon... which I will bring to the Space center on Friday (see next post).

Official nH Book Release

Got a call from Frank Mooney today... He wanted to congratulate me on the "First Official Day" my book has been released to the public. "What?!" I said. Of course I asked where he received such information? I mean, Frank does not live in the so-called "Information Age" to which all we computer addicts are terminal. In actuality, I confess to his access to our information age, he made a phone call (on his primitive "land-line" no less) to "Barnes and Noble" where they looked on thier computer and said - "Yep - We ordered 120 of them but they are not here yet." "Cool!", I said. We had a good time chit chatting about all the good stuff going on and I invited him to my FIRST BOOK SIGNING. See Next Post :)

With all the hub-bub, I wonder why my publisher has told me the real release date is supposed to be on Monday the 10th. Start looking in your bookstores people! Of course I would rather you buy the book from me - either at a book signing or buy one online and I will sign it and send it to you.

http://www.nashuahistory.org/site/nashuahistory_book.htm because you will then have one of the Limited Signed Gold Edition Copies - RARE!

Heck - if you just can't wait go to the store - get one and then order the RARE Collectors Gold Signed Edition and store it somewhere safe for all eternity... Now that's a compliment I hope to receive. :)

Anyway you slice it - the books a gem. I hope you get one. (or 2 or 3.. ;)
